Toshiba 160 - Mono Copiers - Office Mono PhotocopiersThe e-STUDIO160 digital photocopier and multifunctional system is part of the new generation Toshiba e-STUDIO line designed to meet increasing market demand for integrated office equipment with fax capabilities and PC/ Intranet/Internet connectivity, in addition to increased functionality for total document management. This specific unit is targeted to the needs of small workgroups. Upgradability The modular nature of the e-STUDIO160 allows users the flexibility to create the optimum system to meet their needs now, without closing the door on future expansion. Starting from a basic desktop design, the e-STUDIO160 can be expanded vertically by adding paper handling options that turn the e-STUDIO160 into a console. The unit also offers open architecture for internal expansion by adding approved hardware and software combinations. The e-STUDIO160 upgrade path can be viewed as consisting of five component streams, optional memory expansion, optional paper handling features, optional printer features, optional fax features, and optional scanning features (TWAIN and OCR). Standard Features The basic digital copier unit is a 16 cpm/spm desktop machine, which comes standard with a 32 MB memory (upgradable to 160 MB). Its exceptional digital image quality and productivity should appeal to workgroups. Features include efficient copying capabilities, and Memory features such as Electronic Sort, 2-in-1/4-in-1, and Alternation (for easy sorting without a Finisher). The new Central Output Tray allows a square footprint for convenient use in limited office space. Standard Toshiba Viewer software offers local GDI (Graphic Display Interface) printing. Paper Handling Feature Options The unit can be enhanced with sophisticated paper handling options such as the RADF and ADU, and increased paper supply capacity through addition of the optional SFB (Stack Feed Bypass), PFU (Paper Feed Unit), and PFP (Paper Feed Pedestal). A Job Separator and an Offset Tray supply finishing functions, and a handy Stapler with a Work Surface takes care of document attachment. Printer Board This allows the e-STUDIO160 to function as an advanced local printer, providing efficient 16 ppm printing output, excellent reproduction quality of 1,200 x 600 dpi with smoothing, and PCL6®/PS2® printing capabilities. Moreover, features not available with ordinary printers, such as Duplex Printing and Magazine Sort, are available through this combination (utilising the optional ADU). Network Printing This combination puts the power of the e-STUDIO160 at the command of every PC user in a client/server or peer to peer network, for convenient LAN capabilities. A new Net Panel provided with a PCL kit supplies a browser for printing management on a PC. Super G3 Fax Machine Install the e-studio160 fax kit and add Super G3 Fax capabilities and fast transmission times, which can reduce communications costs. Fax reception and transmission of up to A3 size allow greater flexibility in communications, providing many features of a high end facsimile. In addition, TWAIN scanning to a PC is available and with a network print and internet fax facility installed enjoy network fax facility. Local GDI printing To print files directly from your PC, simply connect your PC to the e-STUDIO160 by way of parallel or USB port. Local Graphics Device Interface (GDI) printing ensures operational ease and high-quality results.
